Date: Thursday, September 8, 2011
Start Time: 3:45 pm
Location: NRT Sheep Pasture
North Easton, MA.
Parking: Buses will park at Oliver Ames High School after dropping
athletes off at Sheep
Pasture. Spectator parking will be at
the David Ames Clock Farm, 405 Washington Street (Route 138).
(Across from Stonehill College and adjacent
to Sheep Pasture).
Races: 8 races total (boys and girls will run together during races 1-5)
Race 1 - #1 runner on the team
· Race 2 - #2 runner on the team
· Race 3 - #3 runner on the team
· Race 4 - #4 runner on the team
· Race 5 - #5 runner on the team
· Race 6 - Boys’ Open
· Race 7 - Girls’ Open
· Race 8 - Freshman
Rules:
· Each school may enter up to three teams (A, B, C)
· If a school enters more than one team, each team (A, B, C) must be dressed differently (i.e. different shirt, inside out shirt, etc.)
· If a school enters more than one team, they must do so according to the following model:

· All runners who do not compete on team A, B, or C will compete in the Boys’ or Girls’ Open Race or the Freshman Race.
· Race #1 will begin at 3:45 pm. Each subsequent race will begin when all the runners from the previous race have completed the course.
· Before the Jamboree begins, numbers will be drawn to determine starting positions for each school.
Scoring and Winners:
· Each coach is responsible for handing in a card to the scorer’s table immediately after each race. The card must include the runner/runners’ name and finish time (cards will be provided to you at the Jamboree). No card is necessary for the Open and Freshman races.
· Although the times and names of Teams B and C will be documented, only Team A from each school will officially score. (i.e. one school cannot place 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall).
· Winning teams are determined based on the cumulative times of each teams’ runners (add up the times of all members of Team A, then do the same for Team B and Team C). The Team A with the lowest cumulative time will win the League Jamboree. For this reason, it is crucial to stress to your athletes that every second counts.
