The Mansfield Harriers ran a superb race at beautiful Borderland State Park to earn the 2010 Hockomock League Championaship, making it 6 in a row for the men in green. Shayne Collins gathered the individual victory with a course record and personal best over 5K of 15:45. Josh Lampron and Matt Cioe ran tough races up front placing 3rd and 5th respectfully also running outstanding PR's. The Mansfield team score was a low 9 points with 3 men in. OA tallied 10 points after 2 runners. The race for Hock team supremacy was an exciting barn burner as Joe Cole and Mitch Negus battled OA's 3-4-5 (Vilela, Tagen,Sullivan). Mitch Negus' final 800m was key for the bees as he ran down OA's 5th man finishing in 16:55 (first time under 17:00). Joe Cole's gutsy race to hang onto Jim Sullivan finishing 15th to Sullivan's 14th place was enough to enable Mansfield to secure the victory 36-43. Cole, Kham Haleudeth (19), Conor Monks (21), Nate Michener(22), Adam Osowski (35),Dave Morrill (40) all ran personal best on the new Borderland course.

Mansfield also had bright moments in the JV race as Brendan McCarthy became the 10th runner for Mansfield to break 18:00 for the day. Val Madonna-Lendvai and Rocky DeAndrade finished in the top 15 in the frosh race.
